A survey by the National Center for Health Statistics identifies Arkansas and Mississippi as the two states with the highest number of cellphone-only households. 

The study went on to include that nearly 40% of all adults living in poverty use only cellular phones, deserting land line service entirely, as compared to only 21% of those with higher incomes.
