Famed whistleblower Daniel Ellsberg was one of the featured speakers at the August 4th anti-spying protest. Ellsberg was joined by Jennider Granick, AT&T whistleblower Mark Klein and author Norman Solomon at the rally in the heart of San Francisco.

The crowd read excerpts from George Orwell's novel 1984 to each other and filled up a rolling message board with messages to SF Congressperson Nancy Pelosi demanding that she stop defending data scooping by the NSA. The message board was wheeled half a mile up Market Street to Pelosi's office at the Federal Building on 7th and Mission Streets.
