The Truth About GMO's

Alarmed by the pervasive health risks of Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs) in the American diet, leading consumer GMO advocate Jeffrey Smith, and well-known author and environmentalist John Robbins have joined forces to present, Truth about GMOs. Highlights include: a sneak preview of Smith’s new movie (Genetic Roulette) and a Q & A with both presenters making a compelling case for voting YES on Prop 37 (Mandatory Labeling of GMOs). SPEAKERS Jeffrey Smith Author of the best-selling book on GMOs, Seeds of Deception, Director and Producer of the latest film about GMOs, (Genetic Roulette: The gamble of Our Lives), Jeffrey knows just how serious GMO health risks are. He says, “As thousands of physicians are now telling patients to avoid GMOs, we’re hearing reports of rapid and often dramatic health improvements that result. The symptoms that get better include digestive, immune, reproductive disorders, and even autism spectrum behaviors. These same problems are among those suffered by lab animals fed genetically engineered feed, and have also been on the rise in the US population since GMOs were introduced in 1996.” John Robbins Author of nine bestsellers that have been translated into 26 languages, including The Food Revolution, Diet for A New America, and No Happy Cows: Dispatches from the Frontlines of the Food Revolution. John is the Founder and Board Chair Emeritus of EarthSave International. John Robbins fears GMOs are humankind’s Pandora’s Box, “Genetic engineering presents us with problems unprecedented, not only in the history of science, but in the history of life on earth. We now have the capacity to redesign living organisms at the genetic level. All living organisms, plant and animal, are the products of some three billion years of evolution. Have we transgressed a barrier that we should have respected? It is not possible to recall a new form of life. The plants and animals we are creating will survive long after we are gone. We are guilty of no less than an irreversible violation of the integrity of the biosphere.” John will discuss how we have allowed Frankenfoods into the food supply without thorough testing.
