As does life, art shapes and shifts. Explore the lines and texture of raw materials and the dynamic processes that shift their natural shape into refined representations of artists' imaginations.
We're thrilled to announce we have an amazing group of folks for our Shape/Shift discussion. Panelists will include:
Randolph Belle, who coordinates Support Oakland Artists, (supportoaklandartists.org), long time friend of The Crucible and skilled facilitator in many community discussions.
Barry Baldwin, an esteemed stone sculptor who recently published a new book, "Carving The Way Of Stone -A Sculptor's Art".
Mary White, a glass sculptor and Fullbright Scholar, www.marywhiteglass.com.
Our panel discussion will take place from 7:00-8:00 pm. This evening will include a discussion exploring shape, shifting processes, and exploring the cultural and social impact of these arts on individuals, and the greater community.
