Organized by youth, for youth, the Zero Waste Youth Convergence will convene on Sunday, March 17th, 2013 at the City College of San Francisco,
Mission Campus
Sponsored by the Northern California Recycling Association (NCRA) as part of Zero Waste Week 2013, this particular event is inspired by young leaders in Brazil, Sweden and the Philippines who have organized previous Zero Waste Youth meetings to collaborate and promote the concept of Zero Waste in the next generation.
ZWYC is a full day dedicated to enpowering youth in learning, visioning, organizing and celebrating Zero Waste. WHY? The youth can share the Zero
Waste message back to their schools and communities and move towards an environmentally and socially just world.
The day will feature: Two keynote speakers and several 10-minute presentations that focus on
updated Zero Waste topics both from the youth and exceptional leaders in the community. We encourage the youth to participate in breakout activities and ask pondering questions.
