Widow of Egyptian President Anwar Sadat; Professor; Peace Advocate; Author, My Hope for Peace
In conversation with Mary Bitterman, President and Trustee, The Bernard Osher Foundation
On the 30th anniversary of the Egypt-Israeli Peace Treaty, violence continues to plague the Middle East. Sadat lays out her vision for the region's future, making an impassioned appeal to her neighbors to find common ground and unite for the sake of future generations. Drawing from a lifetime of advocacy, as well as her husband's successes in achieving peace between Egypt and Israel, she defines exactly how she thinks peace in the greater Middle East can be achieved.
