Luna Negra: A Night of Performance by and for Women

Luna Negra is a special annual event to honor Women's History Month through the creative voices performances of Bay Area woman artists and performers working in poetry, dance, music and spoken word. Featured artists are: Roxanne Dunbar-Ortiz, aurthor of "Outlaw Women"; Rosa Gonzales, headRush; Johanna Suarez, storytelling w/Afro-Colombian rhythms. Dance and original music from Roxna Damus - singer/songwriter, Sacramento, CA; Shefali Shah - bomba, Puerto Rico, with an opening ceremony and blessing from Carmen Vincente - Cruandera, Ecuador.
